Victron LiFePO4 Smart Battery 12.8V/330Ah

Smart Lithium 12.8V (330Ah) battery with integrated cell balancing and cell monitoring. The cell balancing/monitoring cables can be daisy-chained and must be connected to a Battery Management System (BMS).

Notice
The battery does not include an integrated Battery Management System (BMS). It is compatible with the following Victron BMS: VE.Bus BMS / VE.Bus BMS V2, smallBMS, Smart BMS 12/200, Smart BMS CL 12/100, Lynx Smart BMS 500

Technology
LiFePO4 is a very safe technology (no self-ignition, fire, or explosion). The self-discharge rate is very low, and there is no memory effect (cells can be charged in any state of discharge). Lithium batteries also do not need to be fully charged, which is a major advantage compared to lead-acid batteries. Lifespan is even slightly increased with partial charging instead of full charging.

Efficiency
In some applications (especially in off-grid systems), energy efficiency can be crucial. The energy efficiency of lithium batteries is 92%, whereas the efficiency of an average lead-acid battery reaches only 80%. The charging process of lead-acid batteries becomes particularly inefficient once reaching 80% state of charge, resulting in efficiencies of 50% or less in solar systems where several days of energy reserve are required (batteries operating within the range of 70 to 100% state of charge). In contrast, lithium batteries will continue to achieve 90% efficiency even under conditions of mild discharging. Additionally, lithium batteries have significantly higher cycle life at lower weight compared to lead-acid batteries.

Cycle Life
2500 cycles at 80 % DoD
3000 cycles at 70 % DoD
5000 cycles at 50 % DoD

Batteries can be connected in series, parallel and series/parallel so that a battery bank can be built for system voltages of 12 V, 24 V or 48 V. The maximum number of batteries in one system is 20, which results in a maximum energy storage of 84 kWh in a 12 V system and up to 102 kWh in a 24 V) and 48 V) system.
